Frequently asked questions
What is SWAZ and how does it work?
+
SWAZ is an AI-powered product research tool for Amazon and Walmart sellers. You enter any keyword or product category, and our system searches live marketplace data, analyses competition levels, calculates profit potential, and returns a ranked list of the top 5 products โ each with a score, price, rating, and direct link. The entire process takes under 60 seconds.
Is SWAZ really free to start?
+
Yes. The Free plan gives you 1 search per day with no credit card required. You can explore SWAZ completely risk-free. When you're ready to scale your research, you can upgrade to Starter ($29/mo), Pro ($96/mo), or Agency ($496/mo) for more searches and advanced features.
How is the competition score calculated?
+
Our competition score (0โ100) is calculated using a weighted combination of: customer rating (4.5+ stars = positive signal), price competitiveness (under $60 = positive signal), review velocity, market demand signals from live search data, and estimated monthly sales volume. A score of 80+ indicates a high-opportunity winner product.
How accurate is the data?
+
SWAZ pulls live data from Amazon and Walmart via SerpApi, which scrapes real-time marketplace listings. Prices, ratings, and product availability reflect current marketplace conditions. Our AI researcher analyses this data and scores it within seconds. For FBA estimates, we use standard Amazon fee structures โ always verify final fees in Seller Central before sourcing.
Can I search both Amazon and Walmart?
+
Yes! SWAZ is one of the very few tools that covers both Amazon and Walmart in a single interface. Simply select your platform in the search card before running a search. Each platform has its own AI researcher and scoring model optimised for that marketplace's specific dynamics.
What does "Winner" mean on a product card?
+
A product is flagged as a "Winner" when it meets all three criteria: a rating of 4.5 stars or higher, a competitive price under $60, and a SWAZ score of 80 or above. This combination indicates strong customer demand, accessible pricing, and manageable competition โ the ideal conditions for a new seller to enter the market.
How many searches do I get per day?
+
Free plan: 1 search/day. Starter: 50 searches/month. Pro: 300 searches/month. Agency: Unlimited searches with 5 team seats. All daily limits reset at midnight UTC. If you hit your limit, you'll see an option to upgrade directly from the search bar.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
+
Absolutely. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, and you'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. We believe in earning your business every month.
๐ Glossary
Key terms every seller should know
Amazon FBA
Fulfilment by Amazon. You send your products to Amazon's warehouses and they handle storage, packing, shipping, and customer returns on your behalf โ for a fee.
Walmart WFS
Walmart Fulfilment Services. Walmart's equivalent of FBA โ you send inventory to Walmart distribution centres and they fulfil orders under the Walmart brand.
SWAZ Score
A 0โ100 score assigned to each product by SWAZ's AI. It combines rating, price, demand signals, and competition data. 80+ = Winner. 45โ79 = Moderate. Under 45 = Avoid.
Niche
A specific product category or market segment. A profitable niche has high demand, low competition, and acceptable profit margins โ exactly what SWAZ is built to find.
Referral Fee
A percentage of the sale price that Amazon charges for selling on their platform. Typically 8โ15% depending on category. This is separate from FBA fulfilment fees.
BSR (Best Seller Rank)
Amazon's ranking system that shows how well a product is selling in its category. A lower BSR means higher sales. It updates hourly based on recent sales velocity.
Profit Margin
The percentage of revenue left after all costs (sourcing, shipping, Amazon fees, advertising). A healthy FBA margin is typically 25โ40% net profit per unit sold.
Private Label
Sourcing a generic product from a manufacturer (usually in China via Alibaba), branding it with your own logo and packaging, and selling it as your own brand on Amazon or Walmart.
MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)
The smallest quantity a supplier will manufacture or sell. Common MOQs range from 100โ500 units for private label products sourced from overseas factories.
Product Velocity
How quickly a product is gaining traction in the marketplace โ measured by the rate of increase in sales, reviews, and search impressions over a given time period.
SerpApi
The real-time data provider that powers SWAZ's live marketplace search. It scrapes current Amazon and Walmart product listings, prices, and ratings on demand.
Winner Product
In SWAZ, a product flagged as a Winner has: a rating โฅ 4.5 stars, a price under $60, and a SWAZ score โฅ 80. These three signals together indicate a high-opportunity market entry point.
